Jenny Gas Station 1930
On Taunton Avenue beyond Howard Street is the Atlantic Coast Drywall Company. The office section of this building was originally the Jenny Gas Station built and operated by George Pierce in the late 1930's. Later on Mr. Pierce attached a two-car garage for repair work. The neighborhood youngsters would come by for free air for their bike tires. In the background can be seen the Payson house which is now owned by Wheaton College. Today only the long driveway can be seen from the road as the house is hidden by woods.
