Old Norton Library
Norton's common has a beautifully painted bandstand. It closely resembles the original bandstand which stood there for about 30 years. The only epitaph that can be found for the old bandstand is an entry in the 1929 Town Report under Treasurer's Receipts- "Received for sale at Band Stand $500." Possibly it was in disrepair or too close to the road when Mansfield Avenue was reconstructed in 1928.
